ABOUT
THE CURATOR

Jes Chen (b. 1998, China)
is a London-based installation artist and curator working at the intersection of interactive systems, expanded cinema, and speculative spatial design. A graduate of the Royal College of Art, her practice examines how engineered intimacy, affective interfaces, and algorithmic behaviour shape contemporary emotional life. Moving beyond traditional object-making, Jes choreographs environments where viewers negotiate desire, projection, and the tension of human–machine relations. Her interdisciplinary approach has led to the presentation of her work at prominent platforms including the London Design Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Generative Art Conference and The Wrong Biennale, demonstrating a capacity to engage diverse audiences across design, performance, and visual art contexts.
